Trail Building Projects

The southern end of the Skyline Trail (Bay Area Ridge Trail) in Sanborn-Skyline County Park is overgrown in some areas, and very narrow in others. We plan to repair the the trail between Sanborn Trail and Sunnyvale Mountain Picnic Area as a warm-up to a new trail construction project which will extend the Ridge Trail all the way down to the park's Lake Ranch Reservoir area.

Directions: Parking for this event will be at the Sunnyvale Mountain Picnic Area on Hwy 35 (Skyline Blvd), 4.6 miles south of the Hwy 9 intersection at Saratoga Gap. The parking area is not well marked, so look for our Trail Building signs. Because parking is limited, we encourage carpooling - parking is available at Saratoga Gap.
