Project Information Sheet

West- and Eastside Trails

Arguello Park, (San Carlos)
1998

Background

As part of a program to improve Arguello Park, The City of San Carlos has asked the Trail Center to renovate trails in two areas of the park. On the lower west side between Arundel School and the main parking lot, we will improve an existing trail and eliminate social trails, allowing better access for Arundel School students and area residents. On the east side between the playing field and the picnic area, we will reconstruct stairs to allow easier access to the picnic area and the upper park.
The Trail Center recently completed a new trail linking the lower park to Highland and Devonshire Avenues, which provided direct access to residents of the neighborhoods above the park for the first time.
