Crew Leader Training Manual

Everything we've learned about trail building standards and working with people. Used for our annual volunteer training. 1995 ed. Available direct from the Trail Center. $20.

Trail Center Outdoor Recreation Guides

We have produced a number of general recreation guides covering hiking, biking and riding. Most focus on the SF Peninsula and South Bay Area, but some cover the Bay Area. You are welcome to print out the guides, which range from 9-22 pages each. Please see the listing in our Outdoor Recreation Guides section.

Important note! The Trail Center is no longer selling commercial or agency maps as of June 1, 1999. We have turned over distribution to Wilderness Press. Please see our list of retailers who carry Trail Center maps.

We have compiled a reference guide showing titles for individual park maps available through park agencies and also showing which parks are included on our trail maps. We expect to make many of these maps available again from our office on a self-serve basis.

We will be providing links to agency websites, most of which feature printable maps via this list and also via reduced versions of our Peninsula Parklands map (in two parts: San Francisco Peninsula (241 KB) and South Bay Area (187 KB)); we hope to make similar maps available for the rest of the Bay Area.
